    Lesser Known destinations of Uttarakhand

    Uttarakhand is best known for its raw hills. The state may not be as colorful as its counterpart, Himachal Pradesh but its charm lies in its unpreparedness. Lack of good roads, ill planned construction work, depleting green cover on hill slopes and underdeveloped tourist places, they all add up to its uniqueness.     Munsiyari… the name itself brings back the nostalgic memories of my first visit to the place way back in the year 2000. It was not that well known a tourist destination then, but it was the base of my Milam Glacier trek 15 years ago.
